The South Got Something Right

While I don't normally find joy in the impending death of my fellow human beings, I whole-heartedly support this.

Don't worry, it's a link to a story on CNN.com about Louisiana and a death row inmate who will be executed for the rape of his 8 year old step-daughter.

You know what I say to that?

GOOD.

My opinion waivers on the death penalty from time to time. It's never going to be proven one way or another whether the death penalty deters crime; let's face it, data can be skewed any way you want it, regardless of what you're talking about. There's the possibility of executing an innocent person while the guilty party goes free. Those are clearly arguments against it. However, pedophiles, child molesters, kiddie rapers, whatever you call them - these people CAN NOT be rehabilitated. I'm obviously not talking about the 18 year old guy that had sex with his 16 year old girlfriend, I think it's ridiculous in those instances where these guys have to labeled as sex offenders for the rest of their lives because of that. I'm talking about people like in the above article. It absolutely disgusts me that anyone could ever have these "urges" and I fully support the death penalty in regards to those heinous crimes.
